Marvel Rivals Looks Good, and It Knows It

After a tumultuous 2023, Marvel is ending 2024 reinvigorated and back on solid footing. Deadpool & Wolverine was a massive theatrical hit, and X-Men ’97, Echo, and Agatha All Along made for good television. After all that, the company had one more winner to put out this year: the NetEase-developed Marvel Rivals, a hero shooter both companies hope can compete with the likes of Overwatch and Apex Legends. And along with its general existence, part of what’s so interesting about the game is how damn good and different it looks, both on its own merits and compared to peers in the various spaces it inhabits. For over … Read more

Revolutionizing Individual and Organizational Productivity

As artificial intelligence continues to evolve, one concept stands out as key to enabling personalized experiences: memory. During Madrona’s IA Summit fireside chat with Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft AI, he emphasized that memory is not just a feature but a transformative force reshaping how AI interacts with humans. Memory allows AI to incorporate not only IQ (Intelligence Quotient) but also EQ (Emotional Quotient), creating a more meaningful and human-like relationship. Memory enables AI to maintain context over time, learn from each interaction, and ultimately serve users in a way that feels deeply personal and intuitive. Unlike current AI systems … Read more

Mario & Luigi: Brothership – Brotherly Love

REVIEW – The Mario & Luigi titles aren’t as mainstream as, say, Super Mario RPG or Paper Mario. Nevertheless, they can’t be said to be bad, and the latest episode is up to the mark, even if this time it’s more, bigger and more substantial than the previous ones, but the story of the two Mario brothers is not that memorable… but at least we can say it’s fair.      This time, the Mario brothers find themselves in a world called Concordia, where everything is held together by a tree called the Uni-Tree, but now they’ve been torn apart … Read more

The Impact of Trump’s Return on AI and Climate

US President-elect Donald Trump made plenty of ambitious promises during his presidential campaign, but it will be tough for him to fulfill all his pledges. His stance on artificial intelligence (AI) and climate largely aligns with his commitment to “America First” policies, focusing on economic growth, energy independence, and minimizing regulations on domestic industries. However, a lack of specific federal guidelines leaves open questions about how the new administration will establish a cohesive strategy for AI. There are concerns, particularly in areas like ethics, workforce impacts, and international cooperation, where many experts argue government oversight is critical. Similarly, Trump’s plans … Read more

10 years ago, Disney released the most underrated Marvel superhero movie ever

The superhero genre has become remarkably overcrowded over the last 15 years. The Marvel Cinematic Universe and Christopher Nolan-led redefining of the genre in the late 2000s and early 2010s paved the way for an era of Hollywood dominated by movie characters in capes and villains with world-ending plans. Whether that era is still going is up for debate, but it led to a few years there — roughly 2014-2023 — where superhero movies and TV shows genuinely felt like they were everywhere, and sometimes to a suffocating degree. That doesn’t mean, however, that certain superhero films haven’t fallen through … Read more

Apple’s next-gen Vision Pro might grace the market in 2025

Apple’s foray into the XR wearable segment may not have stirred the same kind of success that it tasted with the likes of the iPhone or the Apple Watch, but the company is still moving ahead with future iterations. While plans of a cheaper headset may have been pushed, the Vision Pro could get a successor within a year, or so. In the latest edition of his PowerOn newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman writes that Apple might introduce the second-generation Vision Pro headset somewhere between Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. That window puts the official reveal in roughly the same frame … Read more
